The other day while in Mexico, my brother Eric and I went swimming in the ocean with a couple boogie boards. We were just enjoying the waves and seeing how far they could take us into shore, until we saw something splash in the ocean. As we got closer we discovered it was a school of String Rays swimming very close to where we were. All of the sudden one jumped clear out of the water into the air and did a back flip!! i was in shock at first because it was so amazing, it was one of the coolest things i have seen! Grateful to have seen one of the ocean´s many wonders...

Little KiKi survived after a week of being trapped under rubbles from Haiti's devastating earthquake. The lil' guy is so happy to just be alive. He held on to hope. hope to live. hope to see his family, hope to be rescued. Makes you really appreciate life... overcome by grattitude.

The Dominican Republic "Que lo que?"

family trip here we come... next stop: The Dominican RepublicOur own private cabin house. Man, we really roughed it didn't we? ;)We had planned our trip to the D.R. long before the devastating earthquake hit Haiti leaving it in rubles. It was great to be able to deliver medical supplies for Haiti ourselves. We took the supplies to the center for "Ayuda a Haiti" in downtown Santo Domingo.
May God be with you Haiti, keep up hope!!

The start of our hike to Pico Daurte... 12 miles to go...all up hill...ugh what were we thinking?
Oh and who is Daurte again? Wikapedia: Pico Duarte was named in honor of Juan Pablo Duarte, one of the Dominican Republic's founding fathers. At 3,098 meters (10,164 feet) in elevation, Pico Daurte is the highest peak in all the Caribbean islands. It lies in the Cordillera Central range, the greatest of the Dominican Republic's mountain chains.

...named Yuma. Born September '08 Yumi came to us just a small little pup with black shiny, soft fur. she has now grown into a young lady experiencing womanhood with her first episode of being in heat... she didn't love wearing the diaper so much.

Yumi loves to play. She goes ballistic when she gets to play with other dogs or new people... sometimes she gets so excited she even pees all over the floor. I wish I could get so excited about something in life that i would just relieve myself on the floor...dang. sometimes it would be great to be a fury pet. Sleep. Eat. Play. Eat. Sleep. We love Yumi, our sweet 'lil lamb.
