The Dominican Republic "Que lo que?"
family trip here we come... next stop: The Dominican Republic
Our own private cabin house. Man, we really roughed it didn't we? ;)
We had planned our trip to the D.R. long before the devastating earthquake hit Haiti leaving it in rubles. It was great to be able to deliver medical supplies for Haiti ourselves. We took the supplies to the center for "Ayuda a Haiti" in downtown Santo Domingo.
May God be with you Haiti, keep up hope!!

Oh and who is Daurte again? Wikapedia: Pico Duarte was named in honor of Juan Pablo Duarte, one of the Dominican Republic's founding fathers. At 3,098 meters (10,164 feet) in elevation, Pico Daurte is the highest peak in all the Caribbean islands. It lies in the Cordillera Central range, the greatest of the Dominican Republic's mountain chains.
